Ketzel Basement Remodel

Practicality and proper use of space were the main focus for this basement. With multiple areas for storage and a large main area equipped with a full bathroom, this basement embodies functionality and beauty all in one!

there are two access panels on the right wall, one for the drain cleanout and another to shutoff the water for the bathroom.

lights were placed on the bulkhead to avoid and shadows under the bulkhead.

Simple doors for crosspace access, client wanted doors to not stand out too much so we kept it simple

client wanted to reuse this vanity so we painted it, added new hardware and replaced the countertop.

client also wanted to reuse this toilet but unfortunately after we installed it we found out it didnt work dur to leaky seals so instead of rebuilding it we found it more economical to buy a new toilet which was installed the next day!

We had some dead space behind the shower so we decided to add some custom storage with adjustable shelves

Carpet was installed on stairs after photos were taken

Closed cell foam on walls for moisture and insulation and open cell foam on ceilings for soundproofing and insulation
